...adapter, delete it, restart the computer. Upon restart windows will detect the wireless lan adapter and install it or ask for the driver. If not install the driver you downloaded from HP it should install this time. Good Luck

there is usually an on/off switch for wireless , you know a real one. also most notebooks have a BLUE FN key and BLUE options on the keypads
