... RAM would work fine for email and surfing. Watch out for used laptops cause a bad battery could cost you another $100+. I would get an entry level Dell for $500, you'd get a warranty too.

There are no good warranty options. But you should be fine, electronics tend to do one of two things...break in the first year, or last forever.

The debate which is better on our end we choose Best Buy you get more than Apple will give....if it goes bad in anyway well almost anyway Best Buy will cover it. They will fix it or they will repair it if they cant you get a newer one...
