the only thing i can think of is to emaol steam suport but they are not very helpful or creat a email account with the mistake and then send the forgotton password thingy to it might work ?

Could be a virus,try this site out for a Free online scan, http://onecare.live.com/site/en-gb/center/cleanup.htm just click on Clean up scan and download the file I use it all the time at least once a month it's from Microsoft so it's safe good luck. RóGéR
