Getting a sub that is 1 ohm stable will give you the ability to parallel wire the sub down to one ohm and get a great boost in bass. Are you asking if you should make the change? If so I'd say yes if you want another 30% bass.

being ran at 1 ohm stable is a term for amps, not subs. if this sub is a dual 2 ohm voice coil sub, then yes, this sub can be wired at 1 ohm. wire both of the voice coils in parallel and this sub will run at 1 ohm
