  7. Not really. The i3 processor and 1TB HDD would tend to slow things down. Ideally you need a core i5 or i7 and an SSD rather than an HDD.

  10. Could be a bad HDD. older macs used HDDs and not SSDs but it could be a your SSD or RAM going bad. its kinda difficult to test theses things on a mac.
