  9. You need more than an idea. We all have lots of ideas. They are not patentable. You need a working model, or a detailed set of engineering drawings and a detailed description. .

  10. Show it to who? You cannot patent an idea, you need to show that it can work with detailed plans or a working model. If it's short enough, publish it here as a question. Eg, "Is this idea practical? Details below"
