Highlights will not damage curls or make your hair thicker or thinner. After a while, color can damage your hair though, and you can almost never get your natural...natural color for as long as you can possibly stand it. Trust me, growing you hair out from a short bob to a long pony-tail is easier than growing out old highlights you no longer want!

highlights can be any color you choose red, purple, dark - light brown, pale blonde, light - dark blonde... can and tone and depth to your color or you can get the highlights chunkier which will add more contrast between the color Best of luck!!!!

Highlighting shampoos simply enhance and add shine to what you've already got. They don't literally...color. Also, I would highly recommend staying away from the do-it-yourself boxed highlights. You'll get much better results from a pro. :-)
