Heisman ballots are weighted on a point scale. So, for example, a 1st place vote might be worth 5 points, a 2nd place vote might be 3 points...mean anything because every vote isn't necesarily equal. That's how it used to work anyway. It may have changed. You can probably Google Heisman Trust and find better info.
