same area, belsize road is the start of st johns wood (avenue road/finchley road) it then streches all the way down past lords cricket ground to marylebone. underground station is halfway inbetween on finchley road/wellington road.

It means just what it says. It's a private road and the owners may close it if they so wish. Perhaps it goes over a grouse moor. Check with the hotel.

Go to http://www.tfl.gov.uk/ and use the journey planner. Stipulate that you only want bus routes in the advanced search options. That does what you are looking for.
