No. AVG and Spybot will co-exist. You can run as many "Mal-Ware Programs" as you like. However; you can only have one anti-virus app.

Spybot search and destroy is the best in my opinion, but if you're being plagued constantly by intrusive malware and adware that no scan can dispose of, it's time to reinstall Windows.
