Everybody handles grief differently and if you go through a traumatic event like that you're likely to be in shock and come off as a little detached.

I think that it's legal if you have lawyers and all the proper paperwork as this is the only thing adoption agencies do - they just have their own lawyers and they are familiar with the process so it might be quicker. The thing that is crazy...
