I'm not sure why a particular font would be especially good for those genres, but if you are really concerned about this, go to the library, grab a couple dozen professionally published autobiog's off the shelf, look at them and see what fonts look good to you.

No. Have a title page for each chapter but a blank page is just wasting paper and you will probably be told to either take it out or put something on it when editing
