Yes..the name brand " Alesis " is very good stuff. They mostly make...etc. Also, Roland and Yamaha drums are very good electronic drums too. ...

I played the Alesis dm6 and really liked it, but have not played a Simmons,sorry. If you are wanting to by one check out an OSP DD-502 I have one and I freakin love it.
