A CD is NOT an account you can take money from. You either leave is alone, or you CLOSE the CD. Once you close the CD, you can do ANYTHING with the proceeds.

the receiving bank sends the monies back..but it takes some time and is complicated. best to go into the bank and verify what was done and when. they can track providing you get there quickly enough so they do not have to go thru...
