  4. yes the honda dealer wud b ur best choice,but the connecters are just for ease of access wen replacing and less trouble,you could jus wire it straight up,from the stator and the other 2 wires,1 to ur battery an the other 2 ur ground on the frame.

  6. It could be the alternator or it could be the voltage regulator. Since the regulator is the cheaper thing to replace, I'd try that first. I have an ST1100 which uses some of the same electrical parts, and I had the same problem...
