Throttle Position Sensor. Older cars have it near the throttle body, newer ones have an electronic sensor connected to the pedal. No need for the caps.

it is located on the side of the trottle body opposite of the trottle linkage. small black sensor with two torx bit screws holding it on. hope this helps

has it been replaced with all aftermarket part. then I would say either the company making the aftermarket part makes trash or something else in the system is the problem. best bet now is to either pay more for dealer part or find a shop that will check for a problem...

it mounts on the side of the throttle body ,and is not to hard to get to on that car ,depending on what engine you have,good luck.

The tps is located on the throttle body it probably has 2 torx that hold it in and a plug that's it.Very easy to replace
