  1. 1996 Cadillacs came the orange anti-freeze. This anti-freeze tended to eat the engine top end seal away. Check to see if it has been converted back to the green anti-freeze. Also look closely around the engine to see if it leaks.

  6. It's definitely not "too good to be true", it's a 16 year old car with a lot of miles. Pay a mechanic to go over it. If they say everything works fine, etc, it might be worth close to that number, but if the brakes are weak, wheel bearings...

  8. It could have either a 3.6L V6 or the 4.6L Northstar V8. the quick and dirty way to check would be to pop the hood and count the sparkplug/COP wires.

  9. Could be that or the heater coil in the seat is bad and you're about to get a first hand look at why we only recommend Cadillacs for the deepest of pockets. Hope it's not the heater element itself. Good luck.
