you're definitely going to want to steam it. taffeta material is way too delicate. putting a hot iron on it may cause it to scorch and that's not a good look. most drycleaners can steam it in a day if you have it to them before 9am

As long as the steam evaporates instantly you should be okay. Don't let any water stand...enough toughness to take it. If it can take a swifter it should be ok to steam it.
