I assume you have a vista or win 7 so you can use "snipping tool" instead of PrtScr button and simply save whatever you snip as a pic that can be uploaded easily all programs > accessories >Snipping Tool

When you hit that button the image is not saved anywhere its in whats called the clipboard.... its like text when you copy it, it goes there... what you need to do is open a graphics program or MS word and paste it....

You should get VideoLan Client from www.videolan.org/vlc/ It plays pretty much any video you throw at it.
