No! You can burn regular DVDs with a double layer burner and I do it all the time, but you need a double layer burner to burn them that way. also at this time the double layer DVDs are still more expensive than the single layer. Ron

Either a driver or a firmware issue. Try updating both - go to the manufacturer's website (the drive manufacturer, not the computer) to look for updated versions.

It depends on the motherboard if it's socket type is 775 yes you can. I'm not sure about any of the older socket types I think they can only support single cores.

It's a pretty good CPU. It will still run almost anything perfectly these days. I had one a few yrs ago until I sold it 5-6 months ago and built an i7 But if you are staying with the Intel 775...

download ATI Readon graphics software then uninstall your graphic card software restart your laptop and then install ATI readon graphic card software on it this might solve your problem
