the stock market is going downwards due to major credit concerns with regards to the mortgage industry....nothing more nothing less. everybody is credit shy right now. good luck :)

Large holdings are disclosable (as are changes to large holdings). Should be on the companies corporate website. Or try Hemscot (now Morningstar) or even Yahoo Fainance.

I would consider Acc-Dis ratings to be a proxy for this. When the market is under heavy accumulation, institutions are buying hard.
