Grainy video means not enough light about 99.9% of the time. Not enough light means the camera cannot focus on any specific object because it can't "see" it very well. The resolution is ALWAYS to add light.

"Grainy" usually means not enough light. Add light. This could be as simple as using inexpensive shoplights on tripods. Read/learn about "three point lighting".
