I usually just go barefoot on concrete floor or touch a concrete wall or grounded steel railings before I touch RAM, processor or graphics cards. Never had a problem on my 12 desktop builds and memory upgrades on 3 laptops...

Well static electricity can damage a motherboard, so to answer question 1, yes. To answer question 2, no. screws for motherboards can't get charged..(idk why i know this, i just do. lol) question 3 - i have no idea!

Just get and esd strap thats about it, although ive been working on pc's for umm lets see over 20 years i have yet to zap anything but yea thats all you need.
