  7. Look at the license at the DPS site below. Is that what yours looks like (except maybe yours is horizontal rather than vertical)? It says 'learner driver license' which is a permit.

  10. To take the road test I believe you must have a car and a supervising driver. Wouldn't you need to make an appointment for their convenience?
