on google chrome click the star next to the browser and in I.E. click the favorite button if doesn't work call the owner of the browser you use.

Not sure if this will work, but try right clicking on an empty space above your address bar, select customize, in the box that opens up, select show icons. I'm using Firefox on Linux, but Windows should be the same You can also try this...

You could add a div (or span) dynamically with document.createElement('div'), then attach it to the body (or something else), and use absolute positioning to put it at the top of the page. Hope that helps!
